One of the sadly unsung, talented constellation of Jamaica's veritable music Ambassadors, the VITAL ROOTS BAND was formed with the most congenial members the law would allow, back in 1983 in St. Ann, Jamaica, a Parish that produced a caldron of talent including the Prolific Bob Marley, Burning Spear and others.

In 1992 the Band embarked on a musical journey through Europe and the rest of the world as Opening Act and Backing Band with some of Reggae's luminaries such as Frankie Paul, Charley Chaplin, Iqulah to name a few. Currently based in Zurich, Switzerland, the band has settled and made a name for themselves, thanks to their depth of musicality, passion for the music and charismatic stage presence.

The Band's music clearly reflects the love for humanity regardless
of their ethni
c background and pays homage to life and their
individual influences generally and musically. The main reason
Vital Roots is such a sonorous force to reckon with stems from the
fact that each member has acquired a wealth of experience over
the years in separate projects Recording, Performing or Touring.

With all the individual influences carefully imbued in each track coupled with the blooming sensitivity that their playing share, its a gross understatement to say it will be widely accepted.
